Pehchaan Khud Ko is an inward call to the seeker who has learned to read the world but not yet the self. “Kise dhoond raha hai shehron ki gard mein? Jise sadiyon se pukaar raha hai, wo teri hi saans mein hai.” Its central question: MAIN KAUN HOON? The kalam moves from outward search toward inward recognition, asking what remains beneath name, image, fear, status, memory, and borrowed identity. “Tu aainon mein chehra padhta raha, rooh ki tehreer na padh saka.” The work does not ask the listener to invent a new self. This kalam asks what remains when those descriptions become silent. “Jab parde girenge, chehre nahi bachenge. Jab naam mitenge, rutbe nahi bachenge. Ek hi sawaal bachega... kya tu ne khud ko pehchaana?” Not every fall is punishment. Not every loss is annihilation. “Kabhi kabhi Rabb tujhe tujhse milaane ko tujhse sab chheen leta hai.” The final instruction is not withdrawal. Pehchaan khud ko.
